Bathtub teams parade through Nanaimo leading up to the great race

Heralding tomorrow’s Great World Championship Bathtub Race, Sail Past on Wheels Parade floats made their way through downtown Nanaimo this morning.

The parade took place Saturday, July 22 and is only one of the festive events taking place on bathtub race weekend. Trooper performed at Maffeo Sutton Park Friday, 21 and musical acts will be performing all day today.

The race takes place Sunday, July 23, beginning at 11 a.m. at Maffeo Sutton, through Gallows Point, Entrance Island, Winchelsea Island, Neck Point and back.
