Mercedes-Benz expanded its operations in Nanaimo with the opening of a modern retail facility.
Hannu Ylanko, vice-president of national sales for Mercedes-Benz Canada, recently joined Sylvester Chuang, dealer principal of Three Point Motors Nanaimo and dealership general manager Peter Trzewik, to celebrate the grand opening of the new retail building.
The new structure at 2472 Kenworth Rd. replaces the current Three Point Motors Nanaimo on Terminal Avenue, and now operates as Mercedes-Benz Nanaimo.
The 14,000-square-foot building represents a considerable investment in the area that will significantly expand the capacity of the dealership.
The open-concept showroom spans nearly 6,000 sq. ft., providing an ideal environment to display a broad selection of vehicles from exciting Mercedes-Benz, AMG, Sprinter and Smart product line-ups.
A state-of-the-art service area features four fully-equipped service bays and one oversized bay designed to accommodate Sprinter vans.
This provides sufficient capacity to further improve processes and better serve the after-sales, parts and accessories needs of valued customers. In addition, a 2,200 sq.-ft. drive-thru provides customers a convenient vehicle drop-off or pick-up area that protects them from the weather.
The overall layout of the entire facility follows the trademark Auto Haus design concept, featuring extensive use of glass to promote transparency throughout the building. This signature design also guarantees a consistent brand identity for each dealership in the company’s cross-Canada network, regardless of location.
