Canada Post didn’t get the recipe quite right, but McDonald’s has tried its own take on the Nanaimo bar that it hopes will be a hit with customers.
The ‘chocolate Nanaimo McFlurry’ menu item was introduced Canada-wide today, May 14, as part of a limited-time Great Canadian Tastes promotion.
According to the McDonald’s website, the treat is “inspired by the Nanaimo bar, with coconut graham crumbs, chocolate chips and cocoa all swirled into vanilla soft serve and blended with fudge sauce.”
The chocolate Nanaimo McFlurry was introduced at the same time as fish and chips, another Great Canadian Tastes menu item available for a limited time only.
McDonald’s Canada did not provide comment to the Nanaimo News Bulletin.
