Beefs and bouquets

Beef to my neighbour for writing a beef about me trimming my own hedge and complaining about the sight of my trailer. The hedge is entirely on my property and if one more egg gets thrown at my trailer, I will be forced to contact the RCMP.

Beef to the fireplace on cable TV. Those of us who have little joy in our lives eagerly look forward to fireplace channel and are crestfallen to see the same pieces of firewood being used every year.

Bouquet. Thank you Nanaimo for being the kindest city in Canada and maybe the world. Having lived in many cities in Canada and the U.S., Nanaimo is truly a sacred place.

Beef to the utility. Computer idiots like me will need help to deal with our bills now that they are online. Besides, I strongly object to any of my personal information on the internet.

If you are in the left turn lane with the arrow green, go into the intersection. Do not stop at the crosswalk.

Beef to the store that would not allow employees to wear Halloween costumes on Halloween. I have always enjoyed shopping on Halloween, seeing employees dressed up, and having a little fun at work. Surely you don’t want to decrease morale?

Beef to how frustrating it must be when the dog poop bag you’re walking with mysteriously flies out of your hands and over a fence into somebody’s backyard. Not to worry – your little black bag full of dog poop triggered our security cameras.

Beef to all the people who steal things. My co-worker a few years ago had a bike stolen and then he got it back. Last night he got his back tire stolen off his bike. It was my co-worker’s way of getting around town besides the bus. Why do people have to steal things like this?

Beef to my neighbour who likes to drive by slowly as I work in the yard. Your constant stares and goofy looks are now on camera and will be shown to RCMP. This is a form of harassment.

Beef to the individual(s) who are keeping beehives in north Nanaimo. Although honeybees are beneficial to the environment, their droppings constantly cover the windows of the neighbourhood making it impossible to keep our windows clean.

Beef to the woman riding her bike with a man and small child at the roundabout on Wentworth and Milton. My daughter had stopped to keep your child safe while you decided which way to go. The taxi behind blew his horn at us but you loudly swore at us. Your foul language was offensive not only in front of your own child but in front of my grandchildren.

Beef to the driver of the large black pickup truck at the Mary Ellen crosswalk. My daughter fell trying to get out of your way but you kept going. Other vehicles stopped to see if she was OK and confirmed you were in the wrong. Shame on you.
