Beef: The city talks about climate change but have they considered a ban on ‘vanity’ trucks in our urban environment? They serve no purpose for the average urbanite and they are dangerous.

Beef: I have been pondering why everything on mainstream TV has become so debauched. Every other movie is just filled with the F bomb virtually every other word. Gratuitous sex that adds nothing to the storyline. Violence just ratcheted to the extreme.

Beef: The damage and pranks done by teens in the malls these days is basically passing on the cost to consumers. Pictures of these children should be taken by security and then posted in the malls.

Beef: I am a senior who drives a nice car and yes I do park a little crooked at times that’s why I park quite away from entrances to stores. I was shopping and when I returned to my car there was a company van parked so close that I had to move my car to let my passenger in.

Beef: Lately the beefs and bouquets have been used to gaslight us to create fear. I don’t think this should be allowed.

Beef to people who get dogs that they think make them look tough, have no idea how to train them and end up dumping them off at the SPCA.

Beef to my little brother who thought it would be funny to write ‘hi from your stalker’ on a carefully placed box of popcorn in my house, and left that for me to find alone at home at 10 p.m.

BEEF To my north Nanaimo neighbour peeping in at me in the nude through my window in my bathroom. Disgusting. Never again, creep, never again.

Beef of the Week: To the fitness centre. I had to shut my bank account down to stop your over-billing. The bank said they had seen this from four customers just this month and that the fitness centre makes up a different story every time. They are really live up to the stereotype of a shady gym.

Boquuet of the Week: Thank you to my new 90-year-old friend who sat next to my son and I during our four-hour wait at NRGH ER. You made our experience of waiting much smoother and we felt very comfortable sitting with you.

Beef To restaurants. Please tell your delivery drivers to bring back the order if they can’t find the address. I have had pizza, chicken, Indian food dropped at my house with just a name on the bag, no phone number of restaurant name. The pizza was out all night and animals made a mess. This should not happen.

Beef to the woman in the thrift store who would not stop berating the volunteer cashier over a small misunderstanding and insisted on a further discount. The prices are already low and all the profit is going to a good cause.

Beef to the politicians and others (unions) responsible for squandering the funding to build the Nanaimo Parkway. Traffic lights were put in to cut costs and now a study says interchanges are highly recommended.

Beef: I took my daughter to a north-end restaurant. I had toast and two sides of bacon, she had eggs benedict, and we had two pots of tea with two teabags each. $58 with tip. Absolute robbery. Never again.
