Athletes from Nanaimo, Lantzville and Gabriola Island fared well at the B.C. Winter Games in Vernon last week. Karate athlete Sage Thomas and gymast Drew Wagner were both multiple medallists.

Curling - Marika Van Osch, silver; Kalia Van Osch, silver; Dallyce Gillespie, silver.
Gymnastics - Drew Wagner, silver, team, silver, floor, bronze, vault, silver, parallel bars; Adin Brenner, silver, team.
Karate - James Winter, silver, team forms; Sage Thomas, bronze, team sparring, bronze, forms, gold, sparring.
Judo - Cheyenne Fiandor, silver; Michael Soja, silver.
