VIU wins one of two against U Sports opponent

Mariners win then lose against Trinity Western University Spartans

The VIU Mariners were able to win one out of two against a U Sports opponent this past weekend.

The M’s men’s basketball team hosted exhibition games against the Trinity Western University Spartans, winning 90-89 on Saturday but losing Sunday’s rematch, 118-85. Landon Radliff led VIU with 22 points in the win, while Jake Cowley had a team-high 16 points in the next day’s contest.

GAME ON … The Mariners men are continuing exhibition play with games at Warner Pacific this week in Portland, Ore.
