Vancouver Island University’s badminton team gets to start its new season with home-court advantage.
The Mariners are hosting the first tournament of the Pacific Western Athletic Association season this weekend at the VIU gym.
The tourney gets underway today (Oct. 21) and continues Saturday and Sunday. The action goes from 5-9 p.m. today, continues from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday, then the event finals will be from 9-11:30 a.m. Sunday.
