Vancouver Island University’s badminton program will once again have representatives at nationals.
Graydon Robb and Melissa Liew won the mixed doubles provincial title at the Pacific Western Athletic Association championships in Surrey Feb. 14-15 and advance to the Canadian Collegiate Athletic Association championships beginning March 5 in Halifax.
Also at provincials, Connor Powell and Helen Cheung earned bronze in singles competition and Darby Walker and Lucy Bonar and Bryan Liew and Thomas Spencer took bronze in doubles.
VIU’s Janice Walker is the PacWest Coach of the Year and Robb is Player of the Year.
