Vancouver Island Mariners win U18 baseball championship

AAA team wins B.C. Minor Baseball banner

A local ball team was able to complete a banner season.

The Vancouver Island Mariners U18 AAA baseball team won gold this past weekend at B.C. Minor Baseball championships in Langford.

The Mariners defeated the South Fraser Nationals by a 5-4 score to win gold medals and a championship banner.

The M’s, coached by Liam Goodall, had a 27-11 record this past season.
