The V.I. Raiders weren’t able to score in the semifinals against a heavily favoured opponent. Nanaimo’s B.C. Football Conference team lost to the Okanagan Sun by a 33-0 score on Saturday in Kelowna and was eliminated from the playoffs.

The Raiders were able to keep the game within two scores until the fourth quarter.

Raiders quarterback Jake LaBerge was 9-for-29 passing and running back Jason Henderson finished with a game-high 73 rushing yards.

Defensively, Sean Murray had 10 solo tackles, Gevhahn McNally-Hardisty had two interceptions and Andrew Etando and Doyle Westlund had sacks.

The Sun will meet the Langley Rams in the BCFC final this month in the Fraser Valley.
