Teams win titles at Tubbers' Cup

The annual senior hockey tournament was played at all the city's rinks, with the division finals Sunday at the Nanaimo Ice Centre.

The Tubbers' Cup titles have become prestigious prizes, and so teams were giving it their all this past weekend.

The annual hockey tournament was played at all the city's rinks, with the division finals Sunday at the Nanaimo Ice Centre.

The Nanaimo Bastions won the premier Knight Division, edging the Nanaimo Trappers 3-2 in a shootout. Nanaimo's Team Lucky won the Brezden Division, the Nanaimo Islanders women won the Roine Division and the Nanaimo Cyclones took the Hardy Division. Other division winners included the Comox Rusty Rails, the Sooke Ice Angels, the Stickmen, the Victoria Bulldogs and the Fuller Lake Horses.
