T-men take on Thunder

The Nanaimo Timbermen and Langley Thunder play this Saturday (July 4) at 7 p.m. at Frank Crane Arena.

The Nanaimo Timbermen are still in playoff contention, as long as they start stringing some wins together.

The city’s senior A Western Lacrosse Association club has lost seven straight games to fall to last place, but it has also played five of its nine games so far against the top two teams in the league.

Now at the halfway point of the season, the Timbermen will most of their remaining games against teams they’re battling with to make the playoffs.

Nanaimo (2-7) plays its next two against the Langley Thunder (4-5), and then faces the Coquitlam Adanacs (4-5). The Thunder and Adanacs are currently tied for the fourth and final playoff position.

GAME ON … The T-men and Thunder play this Saturday (July 4) at 7 p.m. at Frank Crane Arena. Tickets will be available at the door.
