The Nanaimo Diamonds had a contingent of athletes at Synchro B.C. provincial championships

The Nanaimo Diamonds were in fine form at provincial championships this spring.

The synchronized swim team had a contingent of athletes at Synchro B.C.’s Jean Peters provincial championships last month in Kamloops and two Diamonds teams won B.C. titles.

The 13-15-year-old team of Jessica Deverteuil, Bianca Parcher, Kaia Fuchs, Keana Jepson, Cadence Jones, Sarah McNeill and Kayley Morch won gold, as did the duet of Deverteuil and Fuchs.

Jones and Parcher took second in duet competition.

Nanaimo’s 10-and-under team of Lily Davalos, Isabella Hanson, Sierra Jones, Lila Keeling, Taylor McPherson, Macy Miscavish and Aurora Richards earned third place.

Deverteuil placed first in figures, Fuchs and Morch were second in their figures divisions and Jones was third in her figures category.
