The Nanaimo Diamonds can smile in synch after strong results at the Jean Peters Provincial Synchronized Swim Championships on the weekend.
The Diamonds can boast two provincial-medallist teams, as the 12-and-under and the 16-18 groups both captured silver in their respective divisions. The 13-15 novice girls were close to a medal, finishing fourth.
Making up the 12-and-under Diamonds are Sonja Ferg, Camrynn Myronuk, Jordan Pearson, Sarah Schneidereit and Paige Wilson. Members of the 16-18 team are Danielle Berkman, Jamie Isnor, Laura Melsted, Mataya Noseda, Veronica Savoie and Kaeli Wood.
The event, held Friday through Sunday at the Nanaimo Aquatic Centre, was well-attended with poolside seating packed.
