Nanaimo Diamonds synchronized swimmers were the best at two different meets last month.
In Victoria April 9, the Diamonds’ 16-and-over team, the 12-and-under team and the recreational star team all placed first, while the 13-15-year-old team came third.
The 16-18 team consists of Danielle Berkman, Jamie Isnor, Laura Melsted, Mataya Noseda, Veronica Savoie and Kaeli Wood; the 12-and-under team is made up of Sonja Ferg, Camrynn Myronuk, Jordan Pearson, Sarah Schneidereit and Paige Wilson; and the rec stars are Kelsey Thornett, Ayanna Grasley, Tessa Hughes, Amanda Legg, Sarah McNeill, Hannah Proud and Teah Schneidereit.
Also swimming well last month were the Diamonds masters, who finished first at provincials in Langley. Valorie Lennox, Denise McCormick, Jackie Myronuk and Debbie Provencher teamed up for gold and Lennox also placed first in figures.
