The Nanaimo BMX Association hosted a provincial series race Saturday at Marie Davidson BMX Park. It was part of a busy week at the track at Beban Park, as the club also put on its annual Race for Life fundraiser on Wednesday.
In other BMX news, local riders brought home some hardware from the Fraser Valley Nationals last month in Chilliwack. There were over 150 motos, with riders from all over Canada and the western United States.
"Nanaimo riders did our community proud with their determination and their wonderful sportsmanship," said Chris Johnson, club president, in a press release.
