Senior B Timbermen suffer back-to-back losses

Nanaimo’s WCSLA team beaten 10-6 by the Royal City Capitals, 9-7 by the Coquitlam Adanacs

The senior B Nanaimo Timbermen suffered back-to-back losses on the weekend.

The city’s West Coast Senior Lacrosse Association team was beaten 10-6 by the Royal City Capitals on Saturday at Frank Crane Arena, then fell 9-7 on the road to the Coquitlam Adanacs the next day.

In the home loss, Joey Fendick paced the T-men with a hat trick, Andrew Miller had two goals and two helpers and Corey Shires added a goal and three assists. Conor Woroniuk and Matt Zeller shared crease duties.

The next day, Shires had four goals and an assist and Jon Diplock had four assists. Jonny Gill, Travis Mickelson and Fendick also scored. Zeller tended goal.

GAME ON … Nanaimo visits the Victoria Wolves on Saturday (June 10) before returning home Sunday to take on the Valley Rebels in a 5 p.m. faceoff at Frank Crane Arena.
