Senior A Timbermen lose one-goal game

Nanaimo’s Western Lacrosse Association club fell 11-10 to the Coquitlam Adanacs on Saturday night at Frank Crane Arena.

Nanaimo’s Western Lacrosse Association club fell 11-10 to the Coquitlam Adanacs on Saturday night at Frank Crane Arena. It was the fifth time this season Nanaimo has lost a game by one goal.

Jake Cullen and Colton Clark scored hat tricks for the Timbermen, with Randy Jones adding a pair. Brody Eastwood had a goal and two assists, Jordan Cunningham was Nanaimo’s other scorer and Ryan Lee dished four assists. Pete Dubenski made 38 saves as his team was outshot 49-45.

The game was tied 7-7 going into the third period. The Adanacs got the game winner on the power play with three and a half minutes left.

GAME ON … The T-men host the Burnaby Lakers on Saturday (July 30) at 7 p.m. at the Nanaimo Ice Centre. The venue was changed because an ice plant problem at the NIC has necessitated ice going in early at Frank Crane Arena.
