Pro wrestling show in Nanaimo promises title matches, ‘anarchy’

Championship belts will be on the line as Vancouver Island Pro Wrestling celebrates its ninth anniversary.

VIPW is hosting a card this Saturday, Nov. 26, at the Snuneymuxw First Nation Recreation and Wellness Centre.

The show includes a VIPW title match pitting Riea Von Slasher against Vance Nevada, and the VIPW Anarchy title belt will also be on the line with champion B.J. Laredo from Nanaimo facing challenger Todd Quality in a fans-bring-the-weapons match.

Another Nanaimo competitor, Jordie Taylor, makes his return to the ring, teaming with Johnny Rostyn against Jake Krueger and Evan Ashford.

Also, Cremator Von Slasher will face (Mad Dog) Marty Sugar in a dog-collar match, Lak Siddartha takes on Zack Andrews, and Scotty Mac will be appearing at the show in some capacity.

Front-row seats are $25 in advance at Heavy D’s Barber Shop and at www.viprowrestling.ca, or $30 at the door. General admission is $20 in advance or $25 at the door.
