Every young football player wants to play quarterback, and Saturday (April 13), they all can.
Former UBC Thunderbirds coach Jay Prepchuk is holding a quarterback camp that day at John Barsby Secondary School.
The camp starts with registration at 11 a.m. and goes until 4 p.m. Some of the topics covered are throwing mechanics, play action passing, throwing on the run, footwork and reading defences.
Cost to register is $100 which includes a camp T-shirt. Players need to bring their own cleats, football and lunch. Walk-up registration is allowed, but Prepchuk would prefer advance notice by phone at 1-604-803-2473 or by e-mail at jprepchuk@nvsd44.bc.ca.
