Spring training is just around the corner.The Nanaimo Pirates premier and junior premier baseball teams are holding tryouts next week for the coming season.Tryouts are Tuesday (March 1), Wednesday and Thursday from 4-6:30 p.m. each day at Serauxmen Stadium.Players in Grade 9-12 can try out for the teams. They should wear baseball pants, spikes and long sleeves, arrive 15 minutes early to register and bring a $25 tryout fee on Tuesday.For more details, visit www.nanaimopirates.com.
