The Nanaimo Palladian Pirates are working to hone their game for their big homecoming this weekend.

The B.C. Junior Premier Baseball League team plays the Fraser Valley Chiefs Sunday (May 1) at noon and 2:30 p.m. at Serauxmen Stadium after facing the Vancouver Cannons on the road Saturday.

The junior Pirates are coming off a weekend in which they lost two against the undefeated Langley Blaze on Saturday before splitting with the Coquitlam Redlegs the next day.

In Sunday’s 10-2 win over Coquitlam, Nate Odgers was the winning pitcher, tossing a complete game. Aidan Goodall had four RBI, Bryan Odgers had two RBI and David Jerome scored a pair of runs.
