Nanaimo minor lacrosse needs a president

Minor lacrosse held its annual general meeting Oct. 30 and elected a number of directors, but did not elect a president.

The Nanaimo District Lacrosse Association has some dedicated volunteers in place, but it’s in need of some leadership.

Minor lacrosse held its annual general meeting Oct. 30 and elected a number of directors, but did not elect a president or first vice-president.

According to a press release from minor lacrosse, the president needs to be able to commit to two meetings a month and communicate with parents and board members.

“You have to have some sense of lacrosse or love lacrosse. You must be open to learn and accept change and move forward. Mistakes are going to happen and you will need to just accept it and move on. Patience, time, learning to delegate and loving lacrosse makes a good president,” noted the press release.
