Two local golfers were best at a junior tournament in the Comox Valley last month.
Nanaimo’s Mark Valliere and Shirin Anjarwalla won their respective low-gross competitions at the David Court Memorial Junior Golf Tournament at Crown Isle Golf Course July 18-19.
Valliere carded an 11-under par 61 in his second round, one stroke off the course record, and finished with a score of 131. Anjarwalla, representing Nanaimo Golf Club, scored 160.
