The Nanaimo Clippers started their third-round playoff series the same way they ended their second-round series – with a shutout win.
The Clippers defeated the Langley Rivermen by a 4-0 score in Game 1 of the B.C. Hockey League’s Coastal finals on Friday, April 29, at Frank Crane Arena.
Goalie Cooper Black stopped all 36 shots he faced and was chosen first star as his team was outshot 36-29.
Sean Donaldson led the Clippers’ attack with two goals and Brody Waters and Kai Daniells also tallied.
The Clippers have now won all nine of their playoff games so far in 2022.
GAME ON … The Clippers and Rivermen play Game 2 of the best-of-seven series tonight, April 30, at 7 p.m. at Frank Crane Arena. For ticket information, visit http://nanaimoclippers.com.
