Nanaimo Clippers defeat rival Alberni Valley Bulldogs

Visitors score game-winning goal with three and a half minutes to go

The Nanaimo Clippers have had their struggles against the Alberni Valley Bulldogs this season, but turned that around this past weekend.

The Clippers defeated the Bulldogs by a 5-2 score on Saturday, Nov. 11, in Port Alberni, with Cole Lonsdale scoring the winning goal with three and a half minutes left.

Andrew Brown, Willyam Gendron, Mike Murtagh and Joel Plante also scored and Tyler Hodges was the winning goalie as the Clips were outshot 34-26.

GAME ON … The Clippers are on the road this Friday and Saturday, Nov. 17-18, to face the Trail Smoke Eaters and Cranbrook Bucks, respectively.
