The Nanaimo Clippers had their chances, but couldn't come up with a win against the Powell River Kings.
The Clips lost 3-2 to the Kings on Wednesday at Frank Crane Arena.
The visitors scored one in the first period and another in the second period to go up 2-0, but the home team responded with two goals in 17 seconds as Sheldon Rempal and then Anthony Sabitsky scored to knot the score 2-2.
Powell River scored the winning goal on the power play with four and a half minutes left in the third period.
Jayson Argue suffered the loss in goal as his team outshot the opposition 37-36.
