Nanaimo BMXers pedalling at worlds

Nanaimo has 11 racers in Rock Hill, S.C. competing at the BMX World Championships

Nanaimo BMX Association riders are obviously world-class.

Nanaimo has 11 racers in the United States this week competing at the BMX World Championships at Rock Hill, S.C. today through Saturday (July 25-29).

Ben Leslie is competing in the 18-year-old junior development championship class, while Ally Churko, Mitchell Landry, Haiden Botrokoff, Kiera Murphy, Emily Bell, Ryley Cofield, Madden Wood, Hunter McGill, Dallas Giles and Greg McGill will compete in the challenge class.

Some of the riders will be up against more than 100 competitors in their respective age groups and will need to finish top-eight to make their main events.
