It’s the biggest motocross weekend in Nanaimo in years.
The Canadian Motosport Racing Corporation is holding a national series race at Wastelands Motocross Park for the first time since 2008.
“We’re … excited to have Nanaimo back on the schedule, which provides us with a more solid presence in British Columbia,” said Mark Stallybrass, CMRC president, in a press release.
Defending champ Dusty Klatt and Nanaimo’s Camille Baker are some of the racers to watch.
Amateur racing starts at 10 a.m. on Saturday (June 11) and the pros take over the track Sunday at noon. One-day admission is $25, or $15 for kids 5-12. A weekend pass is $40, or $25 for kids.
