Nanaimo’s Ross Walker and others will compete in kickboxing next month in Ladysmith.

Fans will be sure to get their kicks, what with three title bouts on one card.

The Stz’uminus First Nation Community Centre at Shell Beach in Ladysmith is hosting a card March 12.

The main even sees Victoria’s Gabriel Varga take on France’s Yohan Havan for the World Kickboxing Network modified Muay Thai world title. The amateur WKN world title match pits Campbell River's Chase Ingalls against France's Fabien Vichi and the women’s championship will also be contested, with Victoria's Tina Derix fighting France's Amel Dehby.

Local toughman boxing champ Josh Shepherd will make his kickboxing debut at the event and Nanaimoites Ross Walker, Seth Laurie and Dan Baxter will also compete. Other Island fighters Herbert Moon, Nygel Yarjau and Cara Andre round out the card.

Tickets cost $40-75 and the event gets underway at 7 p.m. For ticket information, please call 250-751-3657.
