The junior A Nanaimo Timbermen lacrosse team addressed various needs in a series of trades this week.
The T-men acquired Ryan Lewis and a first-round draft pick from the Victoria Shamrocks in exchange for Tyler Mace and a fourth-round pick. Lewis, a left-hander from Colwood, scored 44 points last year with the Shamrocks.
The T-men also acquired defender Jory Clermont from the Shamrocks in exchange for a fifth-round pick. Clermont, from Parksville, played intermediate A in Nanaimo.
Nanaimo then made one more deal, trading a fourh-round pick to the Port Coquitlam Saints for shut-down defender Luke Lehtimaki. The veteran played for Finland last summer at the World Indoor Lacrosse Championships.
The junior T-men play two road games this weekend (May 14-15), visiting the Delta Islanders on Saturday and the Burnaby Lakers on Sunday.
