Junior Timbermen keeping pace with top teams

Nanaimo’s BCJALL team 7-3 as mid-season mark approaches

The junior A Timbermen are about to reach the mid-season mark and have indicated so far this spring that they’ll be right in the thick of things.

Nanaimo’s B.C. Junior A Lacrosse League squad dumped the Port Coquitlam Saints 18-4 on Saturday, June 18, at Frank Crane Arena, to improve to 7-3.

Jacob Dunbar scored five goals and added two assists to lead the T-men and Arthur Miller and Riley Arsenault each had three goals and two assists. Zander Torres added two and two and Jack Bowie had a goal and three helpers. Colby Bowman made 33 saves as shots were 63-37 in favour of the home team.

GAME ON … The junior A T-men visit the Delta Islanders on Sunday, June 26, then host the first-place Victoria Shamrocks on June 28 at 7 p.m. at Frank Crane Arena.
