It was the best season yet for the junior A Nanaimo Timbermen, but it didn’t end the right way.

The T-men were defeated 10-7 by the Langley Thunder in Game 4 of the B.C. Junior A Lacrosse League semifinals on Sunday, July 24, and were eliminated three games to one in the best-of-five series.

The day before, Nanaimo stayed alive with a dramatic 14-13 victory in double-overtime at Frank Crane Arena.

In that game, Jacob Dunbar scored six goals, including the overtime winner. Ryan Sheridan scored four goals and Justin Geddie made 42 saves.

The next day, Dunbar and Cayden Onagi scored two goals each and Geddie made 50 saves.

The club, in a social media post, thanked graduating players and congratulated them on their junior careers.

The junior A Timbermen finished 10-4 in the BCJALL regular season to earn home-floor advantage in the B.C. semifinals.
