Hornets take pitch for playoffs

The Hornets (8-0) Div. 1 men take on Westshore RFC (3-5) on Saturday (Dec. 3) in Times Cup playoff action at Pioneer Park.

The Nanaimo Hornets were successful in completing an undefeated regular season, but now they’re in the playoffs, where every team starts anew.

The Hornets (8-0) Div. 1 men take on Westshore RFC (3-5) on Saturday (Dec. 3) in Times Cup playoff action.

Nanaimo received a playoff bye into the Vancouver Island semifinals, while Westshore got past the University of Victoria Norsemen last week.

Saturday’s game is a 1 p.m. kickoff time at May Richards Bennett Pioneer Park. Admission to Hornets games is always free.
