The region’s premier men’s summer soccer team couldn’t capitalize on home-turf advantage.

The Mid Isle Highlanders (2-4-1) lost both their Pacific Coast Soccer League games on the weekend at Ladysmith’s Forrest Field, falling 3-0 to the Vancouver Thunderbirds on Saturday and dropping a 3-2 decision to the Okanagan Challenge on Sunday. Jordan de Graaf and Ryan Andre scored for the Highlanders.

GAME ON … Mid Isle FC plays Khalsa Sporting (3-1-1) on Sunday (June 19) at Port Coquitlam. Next home action for the Highlanders is June 26 at 2 p.m. against Surrey United (5-2).
