Fastball season is well underway in the city.
The Nanaimo Senior Men’s Fastball League features four teams for 2016 – Lantzville Village Pub, Wheatsheaf Fastball Club, Baker Supply and the Duncan Masters.
Lantzville and Duncan are battling for first place at mid-season.
Games are played locally at the Wheatsheaf Sports Fields in Cedar and at May Richards Bennett Pioneer Park, usually on Tuesday and Thursday evenings.
The playoffs will begin in mid-July.
