The Nanaimo Ramsay Lampman Rhodes/Harbour City Plumbing and Gas Diamonds started off the fastball season as well as they could have hoped.
The bantam B girls’ team won a tournament hosted by South Surrey-White Rock over the Easter long weekend.
The final was an exciting 8-7 win over the Fleetwood Force in which the Diamonds held off a late comeback effort by the Force.
Nanaimo went undefeated in its six games, scoring three shutouts and two mercy-rule blowout wins.
