Diamonds may be a girl’s best friend, but gold is the recurring theme for the Ramsay Lampman Rhodes / Harbour City Plumbing and Gas Diamonds 95 fastball squad.
The bantam B girls played their second fastball tournament of the season last weekend in Cordova Bay, winning gold again.
The team won its first three games 13-0, 12-2, and 13-2, then came from behind to defeat Cordova Bay 8-7.
It was an all Nanaimo Diamonds semifinal with Diamonds 95 defeating Diamonds 96 6-3.
Nanaimo defeated Cordova Bay in the final 13-3.
