The Nanaimo Clippers added some size and skill to the forward lines with a new recruit this week.
Tanner Clarkson, a 6-foot-2, 185-pound 18-year-old, joins the Clips after playing junior B with the Kelowna Chiefs in 2010-11. Last year Clarkson played 49 games, scoring 24 goals and adding 18 assists.
“He is a tall centre with plenty of speed and skill,” said Mike Vandekamp, Clippers general manager, in a press release. “He has great instincts on the ice and we expect him to have an immediate impact in our lineup.”
