Clippers lose to Alberni Valley

Nanaimo visits the Cowichan Valley Capitals on Wednesday (Nov. 27) at Duncan’s Island Savings Centre.

The Nanaimo Clippers got into a barnburner hockey game and couldn’t keep up with the opposition.

The Clips lost 6-4 to the Alberni Valley Bulldogs on Friday at Frank Crane Arena.

Both teams piled up 40 shots on goal, but the visitors capitalized on more of their chances. Nanaimo got goals from Brendan Taylor, Spencer Hewson, Devin Brosseau and Anthony Sabitsky. Liam McLeod suffered the loss in goal.

Nanaimo visits the Cowichan Valley Capitals on Wednesday (Nov. 27) at Duncan’s Island Savings Centre. The Shipmen host the Victoria Grizzlies on Friday at 7 p.m. at Frank Crane Arena.
