Nanaimo’s bantam rep girls are Island lacrosse champions.
The Timbermen girls defeated Victoria 7-1 on Sunday at Frank Crane Arena to sweep the best-of-three final two games to none.
Sarah Ferguson scored four goals for Nanaimo in the win and Lydia Zart, Alyssa MacDonald and Faryn Good were other scorers. Ronnie Robinson was the winning goalie.
The bantams will join the peewee and midget Timbermen girls at B.C. Lacrosse championships in Port Coquitlam starting Wednesday (July 8).
