Nanaimo Badminton Club athletes won dozens of medals at a tournament at Port Alberni last month. The Feb. 28 event drew more than 80 competitors.
One of the highlights was the U19 boys’ final, which saw two Nanaimo competitors go head to head. Tian Goa won gold; Robert Foster took silver.
Priya Ramash won gold in A singles and A doubles in U16 competition.
Justin Liu won gold in A singles in U14 play.
The U12 doubles final was another all-Nanaimo affair, with Mikayla and Alayna Jankovic taking gold and Olivia Khoo and Manhat Shienh teaming for silver. Alayna Jankovic also won gold in A singles.
