The Nanaimo Acme Timbermen went into a tough building in which to play, and won. The senior B T-men defeated the Ladner Pioneers 9-8 on Sunday in Delta after beating the Valley Rebels 10-8 at home the night before.

In the win at Ladner, Jon Diplock scored a hat trick, Ryan Clark and Shawn Swanson scored a pair of goals each and Ryan Dietterle and Steve Higgs also tallied. Nick Patterson was the winning goalie.

The day before, Diplock and Steve Higgs scored twice each, Clark, Ryan Hanna, Blair Pinnock, Chris O'Hara, Ryan Forslund and Isaac Thomas had singles and Danny Walters earned the win in net.

The senior B T-men have suffered a rash of injuries but have made several pickups including Simon Stocks, a longtime senior A transition defender, and Hanna, a senior A draft pick.

This Saturday (May 31) the T-men host the Port Moody Thunder at 6 p.m. at the Nanaimo Ice Centre. It's minor lacrosse appreciation night; Nanaimo District Lacrosse Association players are always admitted free to home games and since it's the NDLA"s annual bantam tournament, visiting minor lacrosse players can also come to Saturday's game free of charge.

On Sunday the Acme Painting T-men visit the Royal City Capitals and then on Tuesday the T-men travel to face the Langley Warriors.
