I challenge the complaints of age discrimination in politics.
Some people like to try to deflect criticism by using collectivist notions such as age or wealth. Indeed, some young people claim they know better just because they are young – they use terms like ‘old fogey.’
Everyone should think about what they are saying. What are the facts? Why is this moral? Is this logical?
Young people have challenges of inexperience – they’ve not seen as much thus tend to go on theory instead of reality, and an education skewed by activists among teachers. (Urging ‘respect’ and muzzling councillors is a symptom of that education, which avoids identifying facts and content of character.)
What’s needed from all is thinking skills and character, not the collectivism urged by young people in your article as a solution to collectivism – they advocate discrimination in reverse.
