Writer’s anti-dog bias growing tiresome

Re: Dog problem requires more enforcement, Letters, June 7.

To the Editor,

Re: Dog problem requires more enforcement, Letters, June 7.

Your Thursday edition printed yet another diatribe on the subject of dogs from Tom McCartney, repeating ad nauseum the same mantra expressed in his earlier letters.

Frankly, I’m surprised that the News Bulletin continues to feed his unhealthy obsession with this subject by once again printing the bile he spews.

Yes indeed, there are good dogs and bad dogs, good owners and bad owners. In fact there are good drivers and bad drivers – in reality good and bad everything, but let’s not get things completely out of proportion.

I suggest that McCartney should carry a cellphone with all the requisite numbers regarding canine control on speed dial and use it at every opportunity.

This would be infinitely preferable to continuing to bombard the Bulletin and its readers with his anti-dog bias on a subject that he has already done to death.
