Re: Healthy farming solution takes time, Saturday Beat, April 2.
I think the writer has taken a very balanced approach to the subject. As with most land use issues there are not necessarily simple answers.
I don’t think most people have any objections to the concept of urban farming in itself. The challenge is the when it becomes a commercial operation.
The issue becomes what is acceptable so that it doesn’t negatively impact one’s neighbours.
Some of the potential problems become odours, noise, traffic, etc. A lot of people don’t think of the items and the impacts they can have as others.
A well-thought out and well-written article.
