We’re not yet ready to end oil era

Name a product we produce, or activity we engage in that doesn’t have oil as a component somewhere.

Re: World leaders, environmentalists full of CO2, Opinion, Dec. 3.

If there’s one thing anyone could bet the bank on, it is that none of this will ever appear in any mainstream media and most certainly it will never be a part of our national broadcaster’s ‘blanket’ coverage of this event, which, in keeping with all blankets will do its best to help us fall asleep.

It is obvious from these figures that the only way the global warming proponents could ever be proved right or wrong is for us to eliminate oil entirely.

In view of this, here are questions I would love to hear the fanatics among the ‘green crusade’ answer:

Name a product we produce, or activity we engage in that doesn’t have oil as a component somewhere. With what and how would you replace plastic if we got rid of oil? How much oil is required to construct, transport, install and maintain one wind turbine?

To the Editor,

I hear a lot of discussions by the media about the importance of tackling the climate change crisis. The Bible clearly states that the world will be in distress with perplexity in these last days as prophecies unfold.

We are seeing old and new testament prophecies unfolding at an alarming rate. The Bible has not failed in its predictions, being 100 per cent accurate, and a close examination will show its divine origin.
