Vaccines bring various fear factors

To suggest that the declining number of children being vaccinated is related to internet propaganda is a stretch.

To the Editor,

Re: Vaccine fears are misplaced, Editorial, Feb. 10.

To suggest that the declining number of children being vaccinated is related to internet propaganda is a stretch. Recent polls suggest that the majority of Canadians still believe in the effectiveness of vaccinations.

Your editorial inadequately takes into account that some people may have negative personal or family history with vaccinations and other various factors influencing their decision on whether they wish to vaccinate themselves and their families.

Numerous elements account toward such an important personal health decision.
