To the editor,
I love the summer with its countless joys. I love to savour all the precious moments that summer brings. I particularly enjoy all the things I do at the first of the season. That first cup of coffee on our deck with a lovely fragrant aroma in the air and the stillness of the morning. Our first barbecue, our first picnic, swim in the lake and in the ocean, strolling the beach when the tide is a long ways out and walking to the shoreline. Outdoor concerts are always a delight. Watching the garden and admiring how the flowers burst into such vibrant colours.
The gorgeous sunsets and the balmy evenings are such a joy. We love hearing the robins sing throughout the day and evening. Getting ready for that first camping holiday and the anticipation of the joys that it will bring.
These are just a few of the many joys of summer that bring me such pleasure. Every day seems like a gift and I love to watch it unfold like a beautiful flower. Happy summer time!
